Showery Saturday

Hey everyone!! Right now its Saturday night and I'm ready to have a long restful Sunday after the excitement of this Friday and Saturday. Friday was my dad's day off and we headed out to Cairns once again. There we went to the sauna and with some eucalyptus oil created our own little banya. The Cairns trip ended with us at the Night Market where I found some interesting souvenirs.

Yes, yes, I couldn't believe it either but once again yes that is a real kangaroo claw back scratcher! If anyone wants one let me know and I will pick one up for you!


Today was spent battling the raging waters of the Tully River! Here is an outline of our "xtreme"rafting experience.





Five hours of rapids, waterfalls and rock jumps tired me out!






It was a little scary and cold at times but definitely fun.

I also met some other travelers, shared some stories, heard some stories, and got to see some gorgeous rain forest scenery.

The night ended off with us running a few maintenance errands on the car I will be taking to the Innisfail Hospital on Monday.
